I got my mojo back!

The relationship between hard times and creativity is so weird to me. I think of artists who use their craft to process and communicate their feelings of sorrow and pain and despair. Apparently, I don’t process things that way, at least not in this season. 2017 has been a weird year for me– as I continue to work through a big, confusing, gross thing, I’ve found myself struggling to pursue creative things, possibly out of fear of being alone with my thoughts. But regardless, I am so grateful for my Father’s care in providing me with so much joy and growth and hope in this time in spite of the sadness.

Needless to say, the Littlest Friend had kind of fallen by the wayside during this time, but I am so excited to report I am slowly getting my mojo back! Thanks to the inspiring words of dear friends, the novelty of a new workspace, and the kindest and most artistic roommate who inspires me to integrate more art into my day to day, my love for this side project has been rekindled, and I can’t wait to get back into a weekly rhythm of creating new pieces.

Stay tuned, and have a lovely Labor Day!
