Hi there, friends! Thank you again for your help in raising nearly $30 for the Bozeman 3 this summer through your support of the Littlest Friend!
This fall, 10% of the profits from the jewelry I sell will be going to support a branch of Samaritan’s Purse that provides important surgeries for children born with cleft lip and/or palate. As a speech-language pathologist, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Working with children who were born with this diagnosis, I get a glimpse of the difficulties these children and their families face, whether it’s the monetary cost of the surgeries, or the frustrations these kids can face when trying to communicate their thoughts and ideas. I recently learned that in other parts of the world, cultural beliefs about the cause of cleft lip and palate can lead to these children being abused, shamed, and ostracized from their communities. Samaritan’s Purse is a ministry that sends volunteer medical teams around the world to provide surgery and medical care for people born with cleft lip and/or palate– you can learn more about their ministry here.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a lovely Saturday! xo
