Can you believe it?? The Littlest Friend is one year old! It’s so crazy to remember back to that evening in my basement bedroom, brainstorming ideas about the work I could sell in the Etsy shop I’d opened on a whim.
This year with the Littlest Friend has been a blast, and I’ve learned so much about jewelry making, perseverance, photography, social media, time management, communication, and bead storage. I’ve learned the importance of safety goggles, working with resin in a well-ventilated space, and taking inventory of where your fingers are before throwing your weight into a hammer. I’ve learned that good things take time and patience, that it’s okay to make mistakes, and practice really does matter. Most importantly, God has been teaching me so much about community through this whole process. I’ve had the chance to connect with new people, learn to take constructive criticism, and glean so much energy to move forward from the kind words and encouragement from others. So thank you! Thank you for your views, purchases, likes, favorites, notes, emails, and words of encouragement. I couldn’t have done this without you!
I don’t necessarily know what the future will look like for the Littlest Friend shop– it may just be a crazy, fun idea I had the joy to pursue in my twenties, or something that continues to grow on into the future… I sure hope it’s the latter. All that I do know is that I’m having a blast with this project, and God has used it to grow me in so many ways thus far– I’m excited to see what’s next!!
Thank you again for helping make the Littlest Friend’s first year such a fun one! And thanks to the actual Littlest Friend for letting my sister and I dress her up in a party hat…
